Death toll in Uttar Pradesh thunderstorm rises to 10 (3/12/2015)

The death toll in Tuesday's (1st of December 2015) thunderstorm and torrential rain rose to 10 on Wednesday with more casualties being reported from several districts, officials said. Two deaths each have been reported from Mainpuri, Auraiya and Bulandshahr. The remaining deaths have been reported from the Braj area around Mathura-Vrindavan. All deaths have been due to lightning strikes.

Four killed as thunderstorm hits Uttar Pradesh, India (2/12/2015)

At least four people were killed on Tuesday (1/12/2015) evening as a thunderstorm hit most parts of Uttar Pradesh, officials said. Followed by rains and gusty winds thereafter, the storm brought down hoardings, banners, and uprooted trees and disrupted power lines, bringing the communication network to a grinding halt at many places, including Lucknow.

Storm Gorm rocks Denmark like a hurricane (30/11/2015)

Storm Gorm left Denmark for Sweden in the early hours of Monday but the effects of the hurricane-strength winds were expected to linger. The Danish Meteorology Institute (DMI) said that Storm Gorm brought hurricane-strength winds to several parts of Denmark on Sunday as it moved westward across the country.
